Our FESTIVE RACE in the beautiful setting of Haldon Forest. There will be two options to choose from 5km (one lap) or 10km (2 laps), distances are approximate. For those of you who don't know Haldon is a pretty hilly place but the views are spectacular, so this pre Christmas challenge is the perfect event before the indulgences of Christmas!!!

ROUTE DETAILS:
Haldon Forest is a stunning setting but be warned this is a tough route - make sure you pace yourself as the final climb at the end of the lap is hard!!! You can view elevation profile here>>
Course Overview: 1 Lap for 5km runners and 2 Laps for 10km runners
START - Gradual downhill - 1KM - Downhill with a steep section - flattish section leading into first serious climb - 2KM - Continue climb - into long down hill section - 3KM - Continue long downhill section - begin to climb - 4KM - Gradual climb into steeper hill back to finish of lap (save something in the tank for this!) - 5KM - Complete another lap for 10KM runners
Terrain: The route is a combination of hard packed paths, rougher forest tracks and grassy paths. It is likely to be wet and muddy in December so off road running shoes are advised.

Refund, Deferral and Transfer Information
From the moment we begin to organise an event, we start to incur costs. Your entry fee is invested into the cost of staging the event - everything from barriers to toilets, from printing to safety pins, from race numbers to marketing. Organising any event requires a considerable amount of forward planning, risk and expense. Therefore we are unable to offer refunds or defer entries over to the 2020.
However, we will do entry transfers up until 10 days before the race.
You must have agreed to take over the entry from the original runner directly. The fee we charge is to cover admin costs - we will not refund the original entrant, therefore you will need arrange payment (if any) directly with original entrant. Click here for entry transfer

Race Instructions:
Race HQ: Will be at Haldon Forest Park, Postcode: EX6 7XR.
Race Packs: Race numbers will be posted out to all participants before the event.
Race Car Park: There is a pay and display car park at the venue - you can buy a discounted car parking ticket at £2.00 when entering the race.
Start Time: 9.00am.
Race Limit: 250.
Entry Fee: Standard Entry 10k-£19.50, 5k-£15 England Athletics Competitions License Holder 10k-£17.50, 5k-£13.
Minimum Age: 5k - 11years // 10k - 15 years old.
Baggage: There will be very limited space on one of our event vans to live belongings. This will be left at entirely your own risk.
Showers/Changing: Limited showers will be available at Race Hq.
Toilets: Toilets will be available.
Prizes: Prizes will only be awarded for overall winners of both the 5km & 10km - First 3 male & female on the night.
Age category prizes will be posted out after the event. *Only one prize per competitor.
Course Measurement: As this is an off-road race course measurements are approximate.
First Aid: This will be provided by First Care Ambulance.
Running With Dogs: Unfortunately we cannot allow participants to run with dogs as our Uk Athletics does not cover us.
